- SBS KINDERGARTEN AS A FAMILY CENTER FOR ROMA CHILDREN
- In the academic 2005/06 the program reached 343 children of Roma and other ethnicity in 14 regular preparatory groups in kindergartens (Sombor, Subotica, Surdulica) and primary schools (Niš and Kragujevac). __________________________________________________
- SBS PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES- CREATING CHILD-CENTERED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE I/IV GRADE OF PRIMARY SCHOOLIn the academic 2005/06 the project is implemented in 12 primary schools and includes 95 classes and 2257 students from I to IV grade. The MoE has, as in the previous years, approved its implementation in work with children.Preparation of the project’s final external and internal evaluation is ongoing (instruments, procedures, etc.), as well as is the processing of the already accrued data.

- INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FROM PRACTICE TO POLICYLocal consulting teams have been established in 10 cities, with local coordinators appointed, and the seminar Inclusive Education from Practice to Policy held for all of the team members. We are currently preparing the instruments for collecting practical examples, and planning additional activities.

- EQUAL CHANCES INTEGRATION OF ROMA CHILDREN AND YOUTH INTO THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMA case study in the field of education improvement for Roma is being designed at the moment, by the experts and Roma and other activists, assisted by CIP. Although it was initially planned for the project to cover the academic 2002/03 and 2004/05, some of the activities have continued in 2005/06 as well (thanking to Norwegian People's Aid and Swiss Development Cooperation (Education for Social Justice seminars, Roma Teaching Assistants’ work, mini-projects of school-family cooperation).

- EQUAL CHANCES IN SECONDARY SCHOOLSAll of the activities planned for 2005 have been successfully implemented (work of the School Teams, teacher training, teacher and youth workshops, Secondary School enrollment support, etc), and now the partner organizations are implementing the 2006 action plan.The first regional meeting of the Equal Chances in Roma Education has been held in October 2005, with the participation of teams from Macedonia and Serbia and the representatives of Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation. Experiences were discussed and future cooperation planned.

- MY SCHOOL -SCHOOL WITHOUT VIOLENCEWithin the project’s Advisory Board, CIP participated: as a member of the Expert Team for Teacher Training and Peer Mediation Teems in schools; in the design of the Mentor and Teacher Education manual; in the design of the Module for work with children for two age groups; in the production of the Module for parent workshops, and the Guidelines for mentors, who will directly manage the project and monitor its implementation. CIP also participated in the design of the materials for the theoretical and practical support to the teachers and mentors in developing skills necessary in the implementation of the project activities with children/youth.
